OMNEG are people actually thinking the SNL girl was Miley? :smh: I wondered what the hell they were talking about.

Yeah guys that was Vanessa Bayer from Saturday Night Live. Not Miley. She does Miley as a character on the show.

OH. I'm such a flop.  :megaflop:

My stream was pretty bad quality, couldn't tell. LOL

Predicting that the Applause performance will be considered ten times better than the paparazzi one by the fans.

The performance was fun but I think it is too early in Gaga's career to be referencing her past eras.

This is what I exactly felt.

I loved it and I don't get the hate its getting from LM. Sure, not as good as 2009 but she's never going to top that.

I don't think it's referencing her past eras full-stop so much as referencing when she got the most applause for her act. She started with the Born This Way era, remember. She kicked it off in full avant garde couture, s-xless and totally covered, singing an a capella broadway style showtune.

I think she's bridging the gap by showing she can go full theater, make it s-xy and fun for the masses, but keep it postmodern by staying in control of when an how she gets her applause.

At the end of the day, when you are A) asking your core audience to do all these mental jumping jacks, and B) asking casual music fans to enjoy the show, the question is: "Is it a great show?" The rule of parody is, you MUST be as good or better at being the thing you're commenting on, for your thing to be worth the trouble.

I think the answer is, "Yes."

I didn't really like the performance tbh. The stage was a total mess.  I thought the opening was cool, she kind of really commanded the stage and had the audience in the palm of her hand. Referencing TF/TFM etc. I thought it was cool.. totally not pretentious.. good way of reminding everyone that she's back in the game.

Vocals were a mess though at the end. But she still slayed!

AND. DAT ASS. Omg

The GP LOVED the performance. Everyone is calling it the best of the night, easily. So all of you guys on GGD and LM need to calm down. Everyone was freaking out about it not being amazing. I'd give it an 8.5/10. It was a really good performance.

Red carpet was a mess tbh. I prefer the looks she's been having recently on the street then that look!! Plus she needs to get rid of black wigs. They look cheap!!

Her performance was excellent. One of her best performances to date.

i thought it was pretty troublesome or weird for an artist ready to release her 3rd full album to be already looking at the past.
