Raccoon 1,047
Stick a fork in it - Applause is done. Hope Interscope will call this a promo single and move onto the "real" first single. Oh my god, you guys stop being that dumb (sorry bout that). Isnt #1 in FOURTHY TWO countries enough? Is that FLOP? LMAO. Applause had a rushed release, they're not promoting it as they wanted. Applause audio already has more views than Roar's lyric video (and it was released later than that). Wait till Applause's lyric video, then we have the video, the VMAs, iTunes festival.... Just because she's at ****ing #2 on US doesnt mean she's flopping! THE WORLD IS NOT ONLY THE USA. EDIT: even tho you were kidding I said it to everyone who's talking **** about Applause flopping and all... Dont take this to personal Edited August 14, 2013 by Raccoon "The scars on my mind are on replay"
Born To Slay 10,996
Whoop-de-do. Someone in Lithuania bought a copy and it went straight to #1. The U.S. is where it matters, and it's dead. Oh I'm sorry, I didn't realize number 2, with steady sales is dead. Also number 2 in the U.S. plus 40+ countries at #1 is great, ok especially for a rush release and Katy is coming off a stronger singles era. Haus 152
Still, falling. Which is a very bad sign. No The fans all bought it when it went on or early morning. The fact that it was able to stay fairly stable throughout the day shows people are buying it. We can't forget that Katy Perry, the woman with 5 #1s from one album, has a single on sale too. Is it doing well on radio? If so then maybe more people will buy it but your right its far from a flop.
boysboysboys 278
I agree with this. But Katy is getting way more airplay and promo from banners, etc., so logically it makes sense that she's #1. If Gaga had the same radio deal and support in play, and had lead banners all over iTunes and YouTube, she would probably be #1 right now. Exactly. Wonder why the promo spot hardly considered building Gaga up in radio, she's badly in need there.

Guest
Y'all do realize this song can grow right? Even if it doesn't hit #1 in the US I wouldn't care.. At this point she needs longevity... It's f-ing impressive that she's doing this well with album pre-orders when no one has even heard the music, focus on that instead!
bobhabanai 0
Yes, because being #2 means you're a flop artist and nobody gives a ****. Get real. well considering even Kesha, Ariana and Miley can top this thing....and gaga is the one with the 5 Grammies! fml i hat this ****! its already night in the us...and the song is free falling!
