Neal 768
I can't even with the basicness of Roar. It's an ok song... Maybe that's why the gp laps it up like blurred lines which is the pinnacle of the Top 40 basicness ugh

Saeed 1,937
people need to stop being so obsessed with the charts. just look at the **** songs that reach number 1 every year. They don't show who is a better artist overall. this was always going to be Katy's week. :ARTPOP: The truth has been told

WhiplashCowboy 1
She'll do okay. Kinda like We Can't Stop. Start high, then drop, then get even higher than at the beginning because of the video + VMA. Just have faith in it
justbrian 98
11 Million views on Vevo already. I wouldn't call that a flop. www.brianhowarddesign.com
Baubles 0
She needs to stop alienating the public. The single cover doesn't fit the song sonically at all and quite frankly, it's off-putting. She also needs to give the gimmicks a rest. Music fans want good music- not gimmicks.

It is good music, just because it doesn't have a cliche concept like roar does doesn't mean it's "gimmicky" The cover is definitely off putting especially the iTunes banner compared to the stunning banner Katy had
Rollercoaster 2
The U.S. chart means nothing fyi. Just saying.
agustina0407 0
I don't understand why are charts so important? Maybe it's because some people see this as a competion?? Like, they want to beat Katy and all the rest, or they feel bad if other fanbases call Applause a "flop"? I save that desire for the #1 spot for sports actually I want her to succeed but it's not my numer one priority. For example, I would loved Marry The Night being a superhit because I think the song deserved it, and would have loved that more people get to hear it. It flopped but it still is my second favorite song of all time and don't really care what other people have to say about it, I don't care if you think it's a failure. I LOVE that song (an video!) The same thing goes for all ARTPOP, I don't really care if she never has a number one on iTunes from that album, as long as it's beautiful as I hope it will be
