toanythingtaboo 5 Posted August 13, 2013 Share Posted August 13, 2013 Guys, you have to remember that SO MANY people have no idea that Gaga is back and Applause even exists, let alone is out right now. It's going to take a while - or a big burst of promo - for people to get clued in. Simply being released isn't going to be enough for Applause. Thankfully, this may work in her favour because she's so front-loaded. This week will be initial hype, next week will be the video and the week after that will be the VMAs. It should allow her to build, or at the very least keep a steady hit. On the pessimistic side of things, I'm not convinced this will be the smash hit she needed for the lead.
