Haus 152 Posted August 13, 2013 Author Share Posted August 13, 2013 Gaga has sold more than Katy in the last 12 hours, so she's actually ahead but the pre-orders not counting and the two versions is messing it up and thats why shes not #1 Does anyone actually know 100% if it the preorder does or does not count? I've heard both and Billboard said this earlier this year: Instant-gratification tracks tied to iTunes album pre-orders are reported as sales by iTunes to Nielsen SoundScan, and in turn, to Billboard's sales charts. Whether it counts towards the iTunes chart, no one knows, but it does count towards Billboard. Clarification: So the Pre-Order counted Applause toward Billboard, but not to the iTunes chart?
