The music video will only have a minimal effect. And we're at a major disadvantage because unlike Katy, who apparently has a week-long radio deal, Gaga is getting her spins on her own merit and on positive audience reaction. She'll keep adding spins, but until then, her sales aren't going to be as high as Roar's, simply because Roar is being heard more than twice as much. And this will classify 'Applause' as a grower if it receives positive feedback as it's growth on radio continues. I would prefer this any day over a frontloaded single release.
