Here for Katy being really frontloaded this time and Gaga being the longevity queen :legend:

It probably will be that way. Radio adopting "Roar" so quickly means it will peak faster and "Applause" will probably end up with the better chart run / sales tally.

Katy's last lead single was frontloaded as hell too. And to an extent, so was "Cali Gurls".

There's an 80-20 chance she'll be terrible so....  :teehee:

I can imagine all the Katy stans ridiculing Gaga tbh

Anyway, I'm sure Gaga will slay. I have a feeling Applause will have decent longevity.

Edit: I mean she's already slaying, but slay more

1. Katy Perry - Roar
2. Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell)
3. Lady Gaga - Applause

That's what I'm predicting next week's Hot 100 to look like.

Applause is undoubtedly an international hit.

Would it be possible for people to start buying it on Amazon? lol

Right?  #18...  :flop:

:troll:

I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

But IMO guys, Applause sound is not really fit for that longevity. It sounds like a front loader to me.

I want her to get into the 0.700's with the next update, hopefully she will!

Don't raise your expectations to high! I think it's gonna be more like 0.680

Pop Art

Just Dance and Poker Face weren't instant #1 hits.

Her only instant #1 was Born This Way, that song you guys always complain about.

Not even Bad Romance went #1 upon release. I mean, it did really well as soon as it was released, just as Applause is currently, but it wasn't until the video that it really caught on. The same might happen to Applause.
