i gotta say this before the negativity overflow in this thread

if Applause was released yesterday and roar was not released, applause would have gone #1 fast and you guys would not complaining.

Roar is a new release from a major single artist Katy perry which has sent all her previous single (except 1) to top10.

You guys need to give some time for Applause to slowly overtake roar

Exactly. And Katy has a massive Payola deal so her AI is huge.

New KWORB update:

1. Katy Perry - Roar 1.0000

2. Lady Gaga - Applause 0.5397 (combined)

3. Robin Thicke - Blurred Lines (feat. T.I. & Pharrell) 0.3765

That's good; over half way to #1 on itunes in less than half a day  (itunes popbars sort of measures the sales in the last 24 hrs).

Thank you. I'm actually pleased Applause is already over halfway to overtaking Roar

Even if Roar wasn't out yesterday Gaga wouldn't have topped iTunes until this morning which is still disappointing IMO considering her prior chart performance.

Applause is a good lead single though. Hopefully it'll catch up. I just can't believe how long it's taking. I knew her presence was deminished, but wow.

None of this is meant to be negative either. We're just making chart observations in the US Charts thread. For anyone who followed her chart performance prior to Born This Way this is pretty shocking.

I have faith in her. Katy had a head start on radio and Lady Gaga's full amount of exposure is still in the process. She will pass her and she will be #1 soon enough. I'll be patient!

So would that be saying that Applause has sold more than Katy in the last 12 hours?

most likely due to rush release. and BTW was released when everybody has woke up,

Applause is released when people are still sleeping. The closest comparison we can get is Roar which was also released in the same time yesterday

It would also help if Applause was actually a hit song...

It's funny that you say this before we have even had a chance to see how it performs.
