If you think a crystal will cure cancer or anything, then that's believing something beyond what any evidence supports. But that's not what is being said. A crystal is simply an object to hold your focus. And if you put them over your body, it allows you to move your focus around to different spots on your body and puts you more in tune with your body.

Meditating while being exposed to new sensations for all your senses is as close to "high" as you can get without d--gs. Don't knock it till you try it. :D

And if you break your bone and all you do is just get some crystals by your side, sorry, but you're dumb.

But if you are stressed out, or can't sleep and you get acupuncture and/or other forms of therapy instead of popping some pills, then I think you are wise. Sorry I've gone on and on about this, but I believe there is place for Western medicine and a place for Alternative Medicine.

Interesting.

Are you familiar with the Placebo effect?  Many people on this planet may not afford some of the medical treatments they need. Alternative medicines provide a way to deal with the pain or affliction when their options are limited to begin with.

The extent of how far a placebo effect can go is incredibly interesting, and something I totally wouldn't mind doing professional research on.

Photographs do steal souls, though. Piece by piece.

That's what Gaga wrote Paparazzi about.

:worship: Okay. You win this round.  :laughga:

Personally, this is so peaceful just to watch and listen to. Love Marina's work and just adore this side to Gaga she seems to be helping bring to life.  There really is very little to 'get', evaluate or argue over here. It's basically just mediation. And it's very beautiful and relaxing and simple. It's almost ironic how many people are so easily frustrated, angered or confused by it. It's very powerful if your able to experience it rather than judge it. Then again what do I know.

Did you quote me?

and actually, I do believe this ties in with the ARTPOP promo in that nudity, stripping back, natural, are all part of the art pop promo and Gaga's activities we've seen to this point.  It may be in fact that Gaga's experience with Marina in these exercises prompted a lot of that.  So while it's not "promo" per se, it's part of the current Gaga zeitgeist.

everyones questioning what this has to do with the music, and yet shes holding near perfect notes for really long periods of time. the first note alone is 28 seconds, so yeah, id say it has a lot to do with the music.....

Omg it was perfect. I also can't believe no one has mentioned the fact that she made an overtone!! That's incredibly hard to do and people train and work on their technique for years to be able to sing with them. I'm in the closet obsessed with overtones ( :laughga: )

This is going to draw a lot of headlines.

My question what does Marina have to do with this? I didn't see her in it. Exactly what was the point of 'Ehhh' for two minutes?

She's left me more puzzled then that time she did that sleeping art piece.

It really comes down to the power of the mind and how we cope and deal with something as stressful as stress itself, an injury, or an ailment that isn't so easily cured.   We have to remember the body is resilient and anything that calms the mind and steadies one's breathing may help with better blood circulation and efficiency.  I do think more studies should be conducted to better understand it.
