But really. I was pumped for Applause before, but now I'm DYING to hear it. This Aura/Burqa leak demo makes me so thirsty for the rest of the album. There was A LOT of doubt among this fanbase and the GP, people questioning if she could really make something that was catchy and radio friendly and yet different and edgy. Well, I don't know how anyone would say that this demo sounds basic, and as for the catchy part... I literally woke up today singing the chorus. If the leak was not planned by Gaga, it's gonna work in her favour anyway (but kinda killed it being a single, for sure). I'm sure this will help Applause sell like crazy. Interludicrous 15 Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Burqa became aura, you can make it out from the lyrics :) I bet she was repeating "behind the burqa, behind the burqa" in the chorus but ended up changing it with added more taste to the song. I think it would be more logical if Aura has become Burqa by now. If this is a rough, early demo there's always the possibility that the title and lyrics changed, and that this demo ultimately became Burqa. So for all we know the final version has "Behind the Burqa", instead of "Behind the Aura". If you ask me it would be would make more sense lyrically to say "burqa" instead of "aura" . She refers to "auras" in the official press release of ARTPOP though. And she tweeted about Burqa almost a year ago so it makes more sense that Burqa became Aura.
