Gaga Succeeds In Having Lawsuit Sealed, Documents To Remain Hidden

Her accent has been all over the map since she started.

But to me, there's something about the fame era Gaga and the sound of the the Fame album that is very much a playful mischievous little girl, even her voice on interviews and her voice on early declarations had an innocence and a soft "ingenue" wonder to it. She was demure and matter of fact in interviews, and very gentle, almost docile with press. Yes, she'd say the oddball thing here and there that gave hints of her outspokeness to come, but she had not yet evolved into the Free B*tch or the defiant Born This Way superstar.

It was as if she was still a talented teen with just a fancier wardrobe (oh yeah and 3 or 4 Number Ones on the charts!)

I mean sure she would say some of the most eyerolling things, but it almost fit in with her youthful innocence and her desire, childish or not, to believe so hard in this gigantic machinedream she was spinning for us all to the beat of her music.

Does anyone else get what I mean?

 

I totally get what you're saying. She's intentionally dishonest but it makes her genuine. It created the persona. And because she's done so well creating it - she can adjust it whenever and however she pleases and she will continue to fascinate/affect people.

I can't wait to see what ARTPOP brings us!

this makes me uncomfortable...she probably didn't write the songs on the fame    but seriously... she probably didn't! whatever it is, all i know is that we ALL have something or another that we wouldn't want anyone but ourselves to know, so i respect gaga. and it's not like an old mistake would make her a bad person.

This. I'm glad that she is able to keep her private information sealed, but I do feel a bit of apprehension.

 

Especially, since she's the first person to claim she's "open" with her fans and she doesn't keep secrets. I don't know, it's just seems a bit awkward.

So let me get this straight - She is hiding a deadly secret and you people don't care what she is hiding or lying about for 5 years or so.  Well - what was her career niche at the beginning of her career. Everyone should know that niche.  And really what does Gaga think we are going to do - hopefully be blind sheep and forget that she is hiding something big enough that a judge granted her secret sealed.  I always liked her and still do but I don't like being someone's fool or being con.   Do you?

I'm a little baffled about the interest in this topic, and there's a few similar threads right now.  The thing is, we all have secrets we don't want or need others to know about ourselves or things we've done that perhaps we are ashamed of.  Maybe there's some things she's not proud of, well who the heck is proud of everything thing they've done?  I think at this point, she's trying to protect her fans - that are young and impressionable - I'd say that is being a responsible adult - not sneaky.  Just because she's famous, that gives people the right to know everything about her life and past?  I don't think so.

I really think it could be posturing or bluffing, or maybe even positive spin since the album is out soon.

Look at it this way: the judge himself/herself had access to whatever was in there and deemed it not that bad. If Stefani Germanotta had murdered Lina Morgan as the conspiracy whacko theorists claim, no judge worth his salt would allow a murderess to seal her own past away. It's probably a lot of boring financial statistics or possibly details of her and Fusari's relationship or other stuff we really aren't dying for lack of knowing.

I'm not expecting to ever know, but I'm just curious. I never said anything about how Gaga should release them. I know damn well why she doesn't release them. Because they have information that could damage her career. How could you not wanna know? I don't get why everyone's suddenly up my ass about this. I don't know Gaga, I don't care about her success, I care about her art and her work and I want to understand her as a person and more importantly as an artist. That's all.

Because you made it seem like you wanted the info to leak regardless of what effects it could have on her.

So i'm going to continue to invest my money into an artist that is hiding something that would make me change my opinion of her? If she is being dishonest about something so massive it could damage her career. That is unsettling to me in my book.
