pierodinero 6 Posted July 27, 2013 Share Posted July 27, 2013 (edited) As a photographer and image retoucher, I'm just gonna go ahead and say that the reason why the image was retouched is not to give unrealistic views (at least when you are ethical about it) on the human body. It is our way of fixing our models positions, it has nothing to do with trying to make her lose weight. Retouching usually gets rid of distractions that are caused by the models' poses. Getting the perfect pose is near impossible, so editing helps photographers achieve a more polished look. If this photo would've been retouched to completely alter her body to where her body is almost unrecognizable, then that would be wrong and unethical. That is NOT the case with this beautiful photo. That is NOT the case with this beautiful photo. :clap: Being the daughter of a former art photographer, I'm seriously irritated that people are dissing this beautiful photo because of supposed 'photoshopping to make her look thinner'. The perfect pose does not exist, like you said, and it's common practice to hide some of those distractions that would cause the body to look unnatural or out of proportion in places due to light sources, the pose itself, whatever lens was used, etc. etc. This is NOT a photo where someone just went mad with dem photoshippin' skills to make her lose weight.
