These 10 songs are essentially promo singles and we all know how they perform on the charts - shoot to the top than fall like a stone. With no music videos, promotional appearances or commercials alerting people to the existance of his new work, why wouldn't they fail completely? By some miracle, the first three all managed to go to #1 in Denmark (until now his only #1 had been Baby) which is weird because he doesn't have a big audience there. But apart from that, they've been performing like how any other promo singles do. Surely the label could see this coming? If sales of his album are really bad, we'll know what's to blame. At least Gaga's releasing never-heard-before leftover tracks on the ARTPOP app. Could you imagine if she chose to release a new single from the album every week? She'd have her worst selling album of all time. If there's one positive that's come out of the JB's Music Mondays experiment it's that no label will ever use this business plan on their artists after witnessing what a shambles it turned out to be.
