I'm cool with DJWS being the producer, Gaga just knows him and his style and that's why she chose him to do the lead single.

I'm not saying this to be contrarian, but the list of DJWS' BTW songs is basically a list of the BTW songs I *didn't* like DX

 

I mean I'm sure this will be good since Gaga's confident enough to make it the lead single, but those songs didn't do anything for me. Especially GH, that guy's voice was so annoying haha

 

Edited to Add: Tbh my not liking those songs probably has more to do with the songs themselves, not how they were mixed. I'm not really sure what the role of the producer is with Gaga since she's so hands-on in her approach, which is why I critique the songs and not DJWS.

Well I'd have assumed the song to be finished since we were teased like hell about it for a year now

half of you seem to know NOTHING about the song production...

if the song isn't finished it doesn't mean "OMG we still don't have the 2nd verse / the bridge, we must hurry up"

lead single is ready for a year now, they're only giving it the final touches, like deciding how loud should be synth/vocals etc.

well said. Even all the worries of overproduction. Everyone thinks Hair is overproduced but that's on RedOne, not DJWS. I think Government Hooker had some of the cleanest production on BTW.

why should she finish it 100% tho ? if she waits she can tweak it last minute keeping that fresh sound, if she completed the track that far in advance someone could come out with something similar taking away from it
