I hate when people say Gaga doesn't care about sales. Don't they realize that this is a JOB not a hobby? It his her job as an artist of a label to deliver good music that will SELL? Stop being delusional. If that were the case, then what's the point of hype & marketing campaigns? Plz.

The only thing an artist truly cares about is their music reaching their fans and touching them to make an impact. That is the true goal of an artist, to incite a reaction of some kind. Her job isn't to sell, that's the labels job. The label makes her sell. I'm sure she enjoys the money, but in reality most of her money goes right back into the music. Which in fact could leave her broke, if she couldn't make it back up. Not everything is about sales, and I'm sure the label wants her to sell well. But she's already on track to sell, what's there to care about?

LOL Do you think Gaga does marketing campaigns? That's her labels job once again. A successful pop star does none of that. Clearly the hype comes from them, but that's just to get you excited and willing to listen and stay tuned.

 

Everything is about sales. She makes billions of dollars for her label and needs all those big budgets for tours, music videos and the fashion. Of course she wants it to do well. She can't throw out any old crap because she likes it. That's not how pop music works.

Of course Gaga cares about sales/money. Fortunately she's now in a position where she doesn't need to care all that much about it because it's a given she'll make money given how famous and successful she's become.

You must live in a fantasy land. I'm sure Rihanna doesn't think of her sales when releasing an album she had no part of every year.. or Gaga when agreeing to a NOVEMBER album release.. lol.

Yeah her label does marketing campaigns so she can SELL. If Gaga didn't sell & flopped with everything she put our, they can drop her or cut her budget. You don't think she realizes that? I'm sure when she's ready to put out an a single she's not like "ooh I'm just gonna throw this out and see what happens." NO.she wants that sh!t to be successful! I can't.

 

 

To the above post. Just because you SELL doesn't mean that you have to care about the money that you make. Yes Gaga wants to be a popstar and yes that is her dream. But had she not became a popstar she'd probably still be making music. You don't make music just to sell. That's false and faulty. Clearly it is a job, it takes a lot of work. But when you take the fun out of the music, you don't really have anything to put worth into your music. It is not about the sales, it is not about the money you make. Those are bonuses to doing what you love. None of you b---hes work a job that you "LOVE" just because you get paid for it. And if you didn't get paid for your job you'd be doing something else to support your hobby. Get over it, she's a huge pop artist, but that doesn't mean that because her label hypes her music, and that because she charts high that she has to somehow be a greedy b---h snob who only cares about the charts. She's very in tune with her fans.

Once again just because she's signed to a label doesn't mean that she cares about charts. I'm sure she HAS to. She has to sell to stay on the label. But that doesn't mean that it's her main priority at all. There's a difference, a big one there in fact. That's all I'm saying. A lot of people missed that and that is what I pointed out.
