I just checked Club Nintendo and they've added LOADS of downloadable things for Wii U and 3DS http://gagadaily.com/uploads/default_omgexcited.gif They've even added the Mario Kart 8 DLC Pack 1 for only 2100 star points Yeeeah. I heard about all the new stuff they added on the Club Nintendo across the pond! But I'm so jealous of Japan, they have a Mario kart 8 soundtrack CD on their Club Nintendo.
