craig 680 Posted July 30, 2013 Share Posted July 30, 2013 It's just so unrealistic at this point, unless something miraculous happens to Blurred Lines in the next 2.5 weeks where it suddenly begins plunging. 2.5 weeks is nothing though in the music world. I bet it will peak within 10 days. The relevant issue is how it sellls between 20-26 days from now, and it's airplay in 28 days. We have more time than you think. Yeah, it says it was released today. It's called "Propuesta Indecente". It's in Spanish (from what I heard in the preview) and that's why it surprises me that it's #30 on iTunes. By the time Applause is released, BL's weekly AI will not compare, especially if there's a radio deal involved. She WILL debut at #1, if not get there the following week. Expect opening sales of AT LEAST 600,000. (BL is selling ~400k) Expect at least 30 AI in, like, the first two days. (BL's WEEKLY AI by that time will be less than 20) Expect the youtube video to garner AT LEAST 20 million views within the first 24 hours. Not to mention other forms of streaming. Forgive me if I'm having a misunderstanding about how charts work, but if she doesn't hit #1 during the first two weeks, I'll be more surprised than disappointed. Even if it gets a negative update everyday now until the 19th, its weekly update will still be HUGE, and way bigger than Applause. Instead, she should drop a really good lyric video that will get quite a few views, the same day as the single. That way she gets some big streaming points first week.
