Yes she's still sold almost 3 million albums! That's not bad :)

She should keep evolving, not change her sound completely. :) I love how mostly all real instruments are used, it sounds very organic while still sounding huge and slick and wonderful

i mentioned this before, but i'll go more in depth here.

now that alternative music has become muuuuuuuuuch more popular since the release of Ceremonials in 2011, i imagine what the era would've been like under that condition, as well as if the label had invested more into Flo's/Ceremonials' promotion. i honestly believe if the first three singles were

1 Shake It Out

2 Never Let Me Go

3 Spectrum

she would've had three moderately--at least--successful hits. does anyone agree? they're three songs that are obviously not pop, generic, or super radio-friendly, but three that could also work on the radio imo like some other alt hits lately!

granted, from there, there probably wouldn't have been any other hit singles, but still!

I agree tbh, they're also the most popular Ceremonials singles, Shake It Out and Spectrum were kind of big in the UK, and NLMG is kind of known (I think because it was featured on some tv show episode)

I wish she performed more at awards shows and big thins because it's good promo (Dog Days at VMAs) + that's how I got into her so maybe it will attract more fans

agreed.

my ranking of the standard version:

01. Never Let Me Go

02. Shake It Out

03. Spectrum

04. Lover To Lover

05. Only If For A Night

06. No Light, No Light

07. What The Water Gave Me

08. All This And Heaven Too

09. Heartlines

10. Breaking Down

11. Leave My Body

12. Seven Devils

it's easy for the first six, then the last six are really hard (just because every track is so good).

god Ceremonials is one of my favorite albums ever. it is so good in every way exept a couple of bland songs (leave my body, strangeness and charm, remain nameless) it is absolutely great!

Those are among my least favorites as well, but they aren't bad songs at all. They'd be highlights for any other artist, it's just FATM has sch a strong discography

The idea/concept in all three is fantastic, especially LMB

I don't wanna get my hopes up but what if she's rehearsing for some big performance ala Brits 2012/VMA 2010

I saw talks about Oh Eden and whatnot and it kills me that we may not hear them.

Still here for a finished Paper Massacre, tbh.

I think Paper Massacre is another Paul Epworth outtake. His work with her is spectacular, way better than his with Adele. Ugg, what a shame Adele got all the recognition....

I really hope she releases it eventually, she knows how bad her fans want it :(

For me Paper Massacre is like the definition of Lungs, it has that characteristic sound, the lyrics, the vocals, everything. Such a shame it's unreleased

Somebody told Flo about it on an interview and she said she'd look for it, I wonder if she found it or if she indeed searched for it :fat:

Yes I remember that. It's from lungs, I doubt she'll release in her third album almost six years later

ugg, right?! it, as well as Ceremonials, was released at a time when alternative music was not as popular as it is now. if Ceremonials were released last year, and with more/better promotion, i believe Ceremonials could've done 2x platinum and its singles could've been relatively larger hits--SIO, NLMG, Spectrum especially. maybe in LTL.

shame, but idc. and flo certainly doesn't care about charts :)

Well, I'm sorry, I didn't know the grapes were sour.
