Tbh a don't give a flying **** about pop music, I like some pop artists, but I don't see how "educating myself in popular culture" ( :lmao: ) is gonna get me anywhere, I gave my opinion, deal with it.

because you cant make such grand statements out of ignorance. if you dont educate yourself on pop music than making the statement that madonna is the only artist that made an impact with spacious electronic music or music of European influence is kind of just stan b/s

You can't just let it go right?  :smh: we can carry on all night, but for what I've seen there's no way you can't just shut up and deal with other's opinions, if I say that Katy Perry brought heavy metal to mainstream in the 80's it's my ****ing opinion and neither you or your well-educated pop cultured mind ( :lmao:) will change what I think.

Just take a deep breath and let it go bro. tumblr_mmabj6JCBg1s9sluwo1_500.gif

you could've considered my reply a definitive ending statement actually. you're kind of keeping it going by responding with ridiculous emoticons.

if you were to have said that katy perry brought heavy metal to the mainstream in the 80s you would be delusional. just because its your opinion doesnt mean someone cant or shouldnt respond with something logical. because opinions are often times on this forum and pop forums in general never based on something logical or even factual because were engulfed in stan culture. what you see on this forum is me debating/arguing. which is actually kind of something you should do or should expect on forums. its not all supposed to be circle jerks cluttered with stupid emoticons and stale jokes.

Exactly! you can respond your logical facts and ****, you can do whatever you want. Just don't expect me to lick your balls and change my mind just because you said so. You're a pain in the ass for a lot of people on this forum including me, get to think if you're just as bright as you think you are. End of story.

im considered a pain in the ass because theres a plethora of idiots on pop forums that cant handle when their stan mindset is challenged and im aggressive

and i never expected you to "lick my balls" and i never wanted you to. its called an arguement. you plead your case and i plead mine. but when you and so many others use stan lingo to plead your case it makes you seem completely invalid imo

i make an argument that ray of light isnt as groundbreaking as her fans make it out to be and naturally they come at me with a counterargument but the thing is the counterarguments werent even formulated well. its just stan b/s like i said. come at me with something real and you'll see im not that bad.

Just because the sound has been done before by a specific artist doesn't mean its not groundbreaking.

And like I said before,If you compare each song with the other album's songs you'll see the difference, but whatever.

I've used this metaphor before in another thread, but I think it's all kind of like a wave. A lot of artists (Gaga, BEP, Britney, Madonna, Kylie in some places, all those European surgences like Cascada and Guetta, and a bunch of udnerground DJ's and artists) kind of clashed together in a wave to bring back the popularity of EDM. Some more influential and impacting than the others, but all a large wave that morphed together, nonetheless.

3 points in and ready for more

It's hard to say. It'd been around quite subtly for several years, but it really blew up when Boom Boom Pow and Just Dance were released. So I guess The BEP and Lady Gaga are the most easy to credit.
