GoldenNovember 425
Is it just me, or does he say: ,,ARTPOP? It's coming around August. But the single is usually a few months prior to that." Which basically means: The lead single COULD be released in June or July. I guess it's rather July, 'cause she needs time for the video first. It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.

RAMROD 109,223
If Gaga can pull this off, I swear Madge will be so furious. Cos Madge was planning to use this controversial imagery for her Superstar video. The music video was shot, however, it received controversy because Madonna wanted to dress as a "Terror Bride", which is a combination of an Iraqi bridal veil and a US soldier's uniform. Due to this controversy, she opted not to wear the dress. Queen Gloria 3,464
I hope she has NO duets on the album. NONE NONE NONE. Especially not Britney Spears. I've always liked Britney but come on. Hell to the **** no! +1. Sorry Britney hasn't been good in years. She used to be an original artist now she's Nicki Minaj 2.0...
Fame IV 4,426
If Burqa is the first single I'll consider giving up my stan card for Gaga. There's too many other artists out there to stan for. Who in their right mind thinks that a song called Burqa - no matter what it sounds like - is going to do well on radio o sell well with the GP? Just look at the songs eating up the charts now - Just Give Me a Reason, Can't Hold Us, Stay . . . people want simple songs that they can understand that don't have a deep meaning or symbolism to figure out, and they certain don't want a song with religious overtones. I'm praying to god that she comes back with a good, simplistic song like Just Dance or Bad Romance. This is what people want to hear. This is not what's going to do well, regardless of how good of a song it is. If this is the lead single, she's singlehandedly ruining her own career. Well, she's not like all the other artists. After all, she's Lady Gaga. She's not going to do a song for people (GP) "eat". Of course there will be lot of symbolism and controversy. All her career is based on shocking. You shouldn't be surprised. But if you really apreciate Lady Gaga's art, you would understand. I prefer a true masterpiece over a generic song that is constantly on the radio. And I will continue to stan for Gaga. Slayer 9,227
I just think she overcomplicates things. That was the main problem with Born This Way How was BTW complicated? It was one of Gaga's most simplistic (and most successful) songs. If Gaga wants to release a song called Burqa, that's her choice. Of course it won't be wildly successful, because it's not remotely marketable, but maybe she's not interested in huge mega-hits now. Maybe she just wants to shake up pop music. stout3307 0
What the hell are some of you people talking about? Why is everyone so sure "Burqa" will be SO controversial and not a huge hit. It's just a word -- a title of a song -- a piece of clothing. None of us have heard it. Everyone needs to just reel it in. Have a little faith -- Gaga doesn't aim to offend people. Do people really think the song is about an actual burqa?! She's not going to be that literal. And even if it is, why is everyone so sure it'll be offensive -- again, it's an article of clothing. It doesn't matter. Judas was only a word too, and that was rejected almost from the get-go. Radio is not going to play a song called Burqa regardless of what it's about or how good it is. Judas was essentiallya love song and radio wouldn't play that. How was BTW complicated? It was one of Gaga's most simplistic (and most successful) songs. I agree, the song was simple itself, but it just wasn't done right in the end. Most of BTW (the album) was not done right, because she complicated it. Like, she has to step back and check her ego and remember that she is first and foremost a pop star.
imasugarush 0
I've always said this august will be the perfect time to make an announcement and gaga will probably release the first single on september and the album on november  I agree, or +1 month on those dates. I don't think the GP really see the hidden meanings behind things like the horns and the giant egg. They only see Weird Lady Gaga. I'm not sure the album was too complicated. I think the reason a lot of people were put off by it is because, in terms of the actual sound, it was a bit dated. The religious themes were probably off-putting, too. But in terms of lyrics, I really don't see anything complicated. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!
