SEEKING VOLUNTEERS

 

NEWS BROADCASTER (seeking 5)
This position is available to good-excellent writers who are passionate about Lady Gaga and writing. You must have a good sense of detail, a program (or resource) to correct grammar and spelling, and soft skills in WordPress. Training is available to those who need it. Jobs will be split between the days of the week and the availability/schedule of our News Team.

COLUMN WRITER (seeking 5)
Monster Movement needs up to five long-term good-excellent writers who are passionate about Lady Gaga (and is willing to write about other subjects assigned to them) and writing. The position requires you to write 3-5 articles per Monster Magazine issue. The plan is to release magazines quarterly (every 3 months). Articles are assigned in between issues, so this is a position you must be willing to commit to. Special Edition issues will be released in between the quarterly releases and it may require that you work on both at the same time, in between jobs. You must have a program (or resource) to correct grammar and spelling, and soft skills in formatting an article (Introduction, body and conclusion).
** Unless you are assigned to an editorial, all articles must be written professionally without the words “I, me, my, mineâ€. Articles must include news and facts backing up the story, along with resources included with the document.

 

COLUMN EDITOR (seeking 3)
Applicants must have good-excellent skills in writing and editing pieces, having excellent skills in detail. Column Editors will be expected to edit 5-10 article pieces sent to them before articles are sent for publishing. If additional assistance is needed, a program (or resource) may be required to correct grammar and spelling. You must have strong skills in formatting an article. Editors will also need to cross reference all resources included with the articles sent to them for edit to validate the facts in the articles and to check for plagiarism. Editors may also be required to write 1-3 articles an issue.

GRAPHIC ARTIST (seeking 1)
Graphic Artists must have strong skills in photoshop. They may also need to have skills in color theory, color coordination, and the ability to edit both large and small images. Skills in InDesign preferred! A graphic artist may be asked to make promotional banners, website banners, icons, emoticons, or help assist Cervaantes (the GA Manager) in putting the magazine together using InDesign. These tasks may be asked at random times and workload will vary. GA’s will also collaborate with our existing GA’s for ideas, creative input and constructive criticism.

 

VIDEO EDITOR (seeking 2)
Job requests will vary. Currently, we are looking for two good-excellent video editors to work together in creating an emotional and impactful video of Lady Gaga to promote the website. In the future, we will need to edit fan collaborative projects (such as fan-made music videos, fashion shows, etc).

AUDIO REMIXER (seeking 1)
We need a well-practiced audio remixer/DJ that can create audio-clear, bass bumping beats (original and sampled) for future videos (including our Promotional video). Work load will vary depending projects. Most audio will be included in videos that the VIDEO EDITOR creates.
