elijahfan 26,041
My teacher is ridiculously strict and religious. I had to beg for him to let me use Judas Gimme his email, I have a few words to say to people that would ban words like "condoms", especially from young students..... ChicaSkas 22,945
Well... Then I would advise you not to use the song. Believe me, my school was not catholic, but very strict evangelical. I tried doing some stunts like this to lift up some feathers when I was studying there and it doesn't work. All you are going to accomplish with this is a very awkward moment in class and then everyone is gonna brand you as an attention *****. Don't do it. this happened to me around the time Bush first took us to war in 2002 and I showed up to my class in a War Is Not The Answer tshirt .... to a rightwing Christian homeschool group... where the PASTOR was the teacher... and I got pulled aside after class and he made me sit down with him and EXPLAIN why I wore it to class.... ugh. it was horrible. I tried to say free speech but he said not in my class you don't and ugh. I was so angry at the time because I knew war was a mistake, but hey, I was what, 16 years old, I wanted to make a statement, but yeah, it backfired bigtime because even though I was the only real liberal in the homeschool group ANYWAY, it made me even more shunned. I love my classmates, even though we had different beliefs, I respected those beliefs and was friends with them no matter what, (although I could never admit to some of them today that I like Lady Gaga because they believe Gaga to be either terminally sinned and irredeemable or completely the Anti-Christ) and I just learned to not force my beliefs on them and they treated me the same, they didn't try to evangelize me, we just enjoyed other things together. But basically unless you want to be really embarrassed like a fish out of water, I would advise against playing/ singing Judas unless you do an instrumental cover and cite the original composer as one Stefani Germanotta. Trust me, they will have NO IDEA who the heck Stefani Germanotta even is. Do YOU own the 4' by 6' Perfect Illusion promo Poster? Will pay you for it. ChicaSkas 22,945
It's the archetypal pop song, though. Everyone else is doing Gangnam Style, Gotye or Avvici. I managed to talk sense into my teacher when he realised that Judas is "just a name". I really think you should tone it down even further or it could be a bigger flap with him / his type of mindsets in the class that you are dealing with, just a gentle warning. Think of it as almost real-life flamebait, it could be a mistake. These people do not even accept the idea that anything connected with Lady Gaga could possibly be good in any way.
