Gurlies, I am so glad that the midterm election madness will be over soon. The number of bizarre, weird, strange, hateful ads I am getting all the time... Being in Minneapolis, MN - I just can't....

Indeed, who else is sick of the ads, texts, and calls?

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Semi-related to the election because it's preventing some places from reporting and polling places were changed at the very last minute but this is deadass what it looks like from here to like...Miami :air:

Schools closed, businesses destroyed, a few deaths, and the whole state is built on limestone so sinkholes are popping up everywhere, a ton of roads collapsed in my city, it's like a higher power just said "f*ck this whole state" :rip:

I was worried about this weather

It's still hot here :bear:

Another reason I voted for the socialist. Democratize AI, invest heavily in renewables, cut our emissions to 0, and stop these "once in 1000 year" storms from happening every goddamn year :messga:

Emissions to literally 0 are nearly impossible unless we go full out on carbon capture. Even with only EVs and 100% green electricity grid, a lot of other human activities create a lot of greenhouse emissions including farming ans industries like steel and concret that need to be offset

But u get ur point and agree

If we can crack Fusion, carbon capture is likely to be the ultimate answer.

Perhaps. But until that is accomplished, 0 emissions is kinda unrealistic

I think our goal should for now be reducing as much as possible with proven technology we CAN use. EVs, wind, solar, hydro electricity. I dare say even Nuclear. My Country wouldnt have reached a clean reliable grid as quickly as it did without heavy use of nuclear (as many parts of the Country do not get consistent wind or long hours of sunlight year round)
