Duella Dvil 12,946
THIS EATS SO HARD THE ADDITION OF THAT UNRELEASED SONG IS TRANSCENDENT (not specifying so it doesn't get spoiled) Edited October 27 by Duella Dvil Clarification www.instagram.com/theduella666 1
bxr 3,803
Hits that stick like grits! Zomg(ieboy) … this one slow crept into a catalytic crescendo … and just coasted on nouveaustalgic discowave vibes … but like, somehow arcade synthstetics as well … at some point it just felt like a music montage / trailer for “San Junipero” from Black Mirror … in the most impeccable ways Thank you! ETA: @Duella Dvil—I collapsed on the inside when that sample dropped! Edited October 27 by bxr 1

Duella Dvil 12,946
Listening NOW Not your fault but I HATE the jumpscare intros of VIY and The Beast www.instagram.com/theduella666

bxr 3,803 Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:28 AM (edited) Oh wow … unironically absolute cinema vibes … a true underscore exhumed with this one … On the first blink, like halfway through the VIY extended I was reminded of something a massive Madonna fan (honestly, like Madonna scholar) said about a Blackout retrospective I drafted: “I don‘t like Britney, but I like this review” … that said, not that I didn‘t like the studio version of VIY, but your revisitation really allowed me to grow with the song, see it in an evolved light, and (pun recognized, but not preemtively intended) vanish into its sort of soundfeel identity … to Duella‘s point, that intro jumpscare is real … but, in context of this iteration, it throws you into that abyss of like … reciprocal surrender into the event horizon of cardinal singularity … ? ( I never know what I’m typing about ) I also love the filter effects on the intro, it‘s like a subtle catalyst primer into the vanish leitmotif Utmost gratitude and deepest appreciation as always for your luminous curation—what a wondrous gift!
