How fun!

Is this like an unreleased video from the vault shot back in 2010 or is this an entirely brand new video shot in 2026?

my sources say it's from the vault :lolga:

Kesha’s biggest hits and most albums except for the last one are attached to Dr. Luke. There’s just no way she’s ever going to earn money that doesn’t go to him like ever.

Wasn’t she going to re record that album at least Tik Tok

I might need a hero to save me from breaking

I’m living for it :excited: here’s for the nostalgic fans and for finally releasing shelved projects :lolly:

If Kesha could make this happen with all her history with dr puke and her former label, why can’t the others do the same

Beyonce can’t do it with Put it in a love song :crossed: or Britney with the original MV for Perfume, Make me AND Gimme more

Or Gwen Stefani’s Serious unreleased MV :grr: I won’t press Mariah with underneath the stars MV cause she just released the Loverboy MV with an excellent quality 4k mastering

Imagine Gaga doing this for Scheiße, Dance In The Dark or Vanish Into You in some years. Maybe even Sour Candy. :bradley:

The most realistic we'll ever get is DWUW and its probably gon be shown in a documentary probably.

I doubt she had the time or energy to film Scheisse, DITD or VIY. I do believe we have several ARTPOP, Joanne, ASIB and Jazz music videos in the vault.

She didn’t, it was due to be shot by Ruth who did the artRAVE interludes and the single covers. But it was never done because it was scrapped for DWUW.

We know this because  Ruth has since said it was never shot, but they started making ideas for it.

Probably a controversial opinion but she is NOT a legacy act lol. She’s absolutely a Khia in the same vein of Katy Perry (but even worse in terms of success). A legacy artist implies some cultural legacy, of which she has none. Recession pop and Electropop were already happening (thanks to people like Gaga) when she was introduced, and heavily auto tuned vocals was already invented and popularised by Cher and various Pop-Punk artists in the 2000s. Sure she had great music but she absolutely isn’t a legacy artist.

I’m also forever grateful Gaga hasn’t gone “back” and is always a forward looking person, she’s never retroactively made a music video or put all her promo into one, all they did for Bloody Mary was release some vinyls and CDs. She didn’t do what people like Katy did with TOTGA or anything. Even the anniversary edition of Born This Way and Dawn of Chromatica weren’t promoted by her beyond a tweet.

I hope Gaga stays forward thinking and doesn’t do anything like this. It comes across as nostalgia bait. I prefer her version of nostalgia with Mayhem where she made NEW music inspired by her old music.

I‘m not really sure what you argumentation is to be honest. First you complain how she is handling her own work, even though she is also the victim of the situation. Then you go on to describe what she should do, only to bash her in that remark of yours that I‘m quoting.

I‘m sorry to confront you like this, it just seemed a little wild to me. But as someone said already, it’s a delicate topic and there are many standpoints you can look at it.

Okay and? I’m confused why she’s lining the pocket of her r*pist still with releasing this video that will do NOTHING for her in any sense, it won’t make enough money nor will it do anything besides get 500k views on YouTube if she’s lucky. If she wants to release good Electropop she can make new music or re-record her old ones. And my point still stands, she is in fact a Khia and not a legacy artist so she can’t “live off” her old music at all.

I can absolutely critique her creative and businesses choices even if she’s a victim of r*pe if that’s what you’re getting at.

Well, it just comes across like you’re using this situation to bash her. She is not lining the pocket of her rapist. She is just trying to live her life and artistry.

He is already rich. So I don‘t really see argument because this will virtually make no difference for him.

She’s releasing a video with a song he has publishing rights to, so he will make money off it. If someone who I claim had made my life hell, I wouldn’t want to even mention the songs never mind go near any of the music again.

And I’m neutral about her and honest, just because I’m pointing out she isn’t an impactful popstar. Y’all lack nuance af on this site.

I don’t think she has the budget or rights to record the whole album. She just wanted to change the P. Diddy line from Tik Tok but not sure if she was being serious about it.

Well, she could just…make new music? With someone like Max Martin? Or literally ANYONE. Going back to a Luke produced song defeats the purpose of her trying to get out of her former label and never having to work with him again.

Yes she absolutely should make new music and I’m sure the fans will support it. The thing about Kesha is that she’s an indie artist now, it’d be really expensive to get someone like Max Martin to work with her. This is probably why she has been working with new writers and producers, not big names in the industry.

She’s not poor nor working class even as an indie artist, she has more than enough money to build a home studio (hell nowadays all you need is a room with mattresses, a MacBook and a decent mic) and pay Martin’s fee for a week in the studio to make a few simple songs. She has a net worth of millions of dollars, she absolutely has enough money to work with people to make an EP or album.

The distribution of physical is where the most cost is, record labels biggest costs are distribution and promotion. She could absolutely just upload it to streaming and make money.
