Especially while politicians aren't prepared to sacrifice their political power to get things through or to openly talk about the issues and long term planning.

Its partly what is impressing me about Andy Burnham in the UK.

But yeah the combo of **** economic conditions + 24/7 news cycles has really ****ed over politics. Because we need long term planning but politicians and the median voter want instantaneous wins.

Yeah. Its why politicians dont invest in long term solutions to boost economy because you wont see the benefits until after their political cycle. So we keep getting short term stimulous and deficits instead to try to boost economy :madge:

So what will this mean for Canada? Is this party as bad as republicans and the tories or?

Most Canadian Conservative Parties are no where near as crazy as US Republicans. Here in Ontario we have had Conservatives for several years and they dont waste a bunch of energy and time with stuff like going against gays, women, muslims etc... its barely even a topic

Still tho, they are not as progressive on social issues as left wing parties and certainly on the environment as well

But I dont know much about the British Columbia Conservative platform specifically

Sounds very much like the UK Conservative Party really. Although they’ve become more right of center as of late. Especially with trans rights and immigration.

I mean we have 600,000 lakes to 2 million depending on the threshold of how you define a lake. Im not surprised at all. I knew the US was larger by land only tho i did not know about China

do you like the lakes? I would like lakes if it were not for the many mosquitos in summer...so no. And in winter less mosquitos but still way too cold. I think this is the secret reason why so many have swimming pools in their yards despite all the many lakes. This is why I prefer warm oceans, they are salty and no mosquitos. I dont have a swimming pool though

to all the gays who say I’m History…I’M PROPHECY.
