She re-recorded it a long time ago, she just hasn’t released it yet. When the masters of her first 6 albums were bought out from her by Scooter Braun she re-recorded her first 5 albums so that he doesn’t profit from them as much as, and so that she can own the master recordings to her own work. She released 4 of these re-recorded albums but in 2025 she was able to buy back her original master recordings. She wrote a letter telling the fans that she didn’t re-record reputation but has re-recorded her debut album and intends to release the re-recording one day. Myself and many fans assumed if there was a time to release the said re-recorded of her debut album it would be on the 20th anniversary.

Knowing TS she's not gonna miss an opportunity to milk her fans so I'm pretty sure it's coming at some point in the future. And now that I think about it debut is one of the albums that actually would benefit the most from being rerecorded, one of the reasons I couldn't get into it is because her voice sounds very annoying on it and understandably so because she was a teenager at the time. She sounds so much better on Fearless TV and Speak Now TV. Also I didn't know she's already rerecorded it in this case it only makes sense that she puts it out.

Yeah, im actually shocked the 20th anniversary is passing without her doing anything for it re-recording/unreleased track wise. 
Like, if its ever going to pull her favourite record breaking numbers the anniversary seemed like the best time to do it. 

At this point, I kind of expect it in March/April 2027, which gives miss thing her favourite 6 month window between re-recording releases for any potential November 2027 Reputation 10th anniversary release (she's suggested she'd release the vault tracks from the era). 
Plus puts it all outside of the award show window when she's clearly pushing a Grammy & Oscar campaign.

Could the negative reception of Encore be the reason? For instance, I think that one of the reasons Disease underperformed was the hate Gaga got after release of Joker 2. TS is already suffering from overexposure I can see her wanting to slow it down before the awards season. Btw do you keep up with Oscars predictions? Does she have a shot at winning?

Ngl I think Encore replaced it on the release schedule if there was one. 
Encore feels like a "the album didn't sustain itself for long enough so lets try and reenergize it" move. 

As for Oscars, I don't follow it. If she can buy it, she can win it though lol
