So I'm not mad at him feeling like he needed to overcompensate the past however many years. It's what many black people were always feeling about the halftime show those years. Having said that, for him, who's holding all the decision-making power, to then choose himself when he's far from the only viable choice gives the appearance of narcissism even if his intentions are/were not. Seems like if you're the person picking who performs, the unspoken part is surely you wouldn't then pick yourself, but that's my own moral compass and nothing he or anyone else would care about...
