Ayesha Erotica 1,998 Posted yesterday at 01:40 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:40 AM @Economy Do you think Ottawa will now grant more autonomy to the provinces and de-centralize more and re-locate powers, or do you think Ottawa will say "The majority voted for a United Canada, so no, no more autonomy, no extra powers for the provinces, since there has already been a referendum there wont be a new one, discussion ends here"? They say the vote will boost autonomy but I am sceptical. Why should Ottawa grant them more if the danger of independence is over? There is no reason for it anymore to all the gays who say I’m History…I’M PROPHECY.

There is no reason for it anymore Canada is already super Decentralized. To the point tbaf Canadian Provinces make up a higher share of taxes and spending in Canada than US States do in America . And were already super dysfunctional and full of interprovincial trade barriers due to very different business and labor laws so I hope we dont decentralize further But i can see Carney trying to please Alberta and Saskatchwean more with support for their industries from the Federal side

Techically thats an option some suggested but in general the idea would be for them to be totally independent and their own Nation A stupid idea tbh. Theyd be landlocked and have barriers added to trade as well with the rest of Canada as well Just because they are the richest Province doesnt mean theyd automatically get a net gain by going it alone. Most experts agree that theyd loose more than theyd gain because being their own Nation would have a lot more implications than just no longer being a net financial contributer to Canada

How did so many stations get delayed? From what I hear, it's one station that has to stay open til 10 (local time) because they had some delays during the day, and no results can be shared until it closes. So hopefully once they close in an hour all the results will be posted right away since they've been tallied for like 2 hours Still a bit late for me

I hate how polarizing politics has become Anyway, I also believe Mark Carney may have also calmed it down a notch among some less hardcore seperatists. Hes generally more pro Albertan interests and industry than Trudeau so it may have helped a few percentage points vs if it had been a year or two ago this was going on

Some people like to live in the past and not let things go In the last 1-2 years a lot has been done to compromise with Alberta and put a lot of their grievances to rest but some who already decided they dont wanna be part of Canada are now gonna be stubborn Shows how irrational some people are. You are going to create a landlocked Nation with a small market and increased trade barriers to other Provinces they export a lot to in order to fix problems that are largely already fixed? Some people just cant make it make sense
