The Joanne era that basically lasted till 2020 :ladyhaha: I HATED that she made herself so small and did the fake I'm a regular girl thing.. like betch, you're Lady FVCKING Gaga!!!!! Joanne could have been this big rock country album, but it was a tepid boring nothingburger, which could have been done by anyone, The fashion was also very meh, she was trying so hard to appear normal and pallatable that it was kind of sad in a way.. not to mention basically doing two greatest hits gigs in forms of the Joanne tour and Enigma... Then came the acting gigs, the awful contrived interviews for the movies and there could be a 100 people thing.. then the boring ass make up and the grande fvck you in form of the Vegas residency which was.... something; truly a parody of her early self. Chromatica era was also quite meh for similar reasons with basically 0 content minus the videos and VMAS.. so at that point I was slightly disintirested in her, but she won me back with Disease and it was nice to see her in her full power once again.

Anyone who doesn't vote Chromatica is lying to themselves and the rest of us :rip:

Literally only because of the pandemic too. You can hate any other era but at least they existed at all :ladyhaha:

It's like something happend.

Then we fight.

Then nothing happened.

And we fight.

Then suddenly something happened while we were fighting, and then it stop, and then we start to fight when things didn't happened.

Worst parts is that each thing takes longer and longer to wait except the fights.

And then we fight.

Chromatica because there was barely anything to be present for :huntyga:

I would likely answer Chromatica for this exact reason. Also, it was the first time where the artistic direction felt a bit forced and artificial, and less of a genuine way of life, if that makes sense? It started to get back into place with the Chromatica Ball.

I checked out a little toward the second half of the Born This Way era because I was dating a closeted self-hating homo who gave me sh*t for liking Gaga, but I came back for ARTPOP the second the email announcement dropped. But I missed the You and I premiere, the hip injury, the lip injections & brown hair era, etc etc

As much as I enjoyed ARTPOP as an album, some of the promo stuff was off putting. All that rich bitch, mary jane smoking, celebrity coddling, princess high die party girl sh*t was just not it. I know it came from a place of depression and pain, but felt really irresponsible and harmful. Even the ARTPOP pre-era where Gaga was promoting her Fame perfume just didn't appeal to me. Still, other parts of that era were really visually and thematically deep and impressive.

One second I'm a troll, then suddenly the troll is me.

Joanne and Chromatica, after C2C promo started I slowly stopped paying all that much attention to what Gaga was doing because the jazz stuff didn't interest me and when Joanne happened I barely knew the album came out and I didn't buy it or listen to it at all either all I really remember was hearing The Cure on the radio and turning it off because I really don't like that song and with Chromatica I listened to the album when it came out for a week or 2 and then stopped listening and again didn't buy the album but I did pay attention when ROM's video came out and I liked that, Also I liked the album at first but got tired of it pretty fast and I wasn't really aware of what Gaga was doing during that time for the era either (if you can call it an era) outside of the album and her VMAs performance. Now reflecting on that I don't feel like I missed much and don't regret not paying more attention because I don't really listen to or enjoy either album now as well or revisit much from those eras.

I was so obsessed with it as a form of escapism that I made 2 10 minute performances from the era for Instagram TV (rip)

Gurl, I put so much work into everything that I MADE THE ERA BETTER tew me.

I intended on making a part 3 for act 3 but couldn't decide how I wanted to approach it. Babylon pisses me off. I don't like the album version. DOC hadn't dropped yet. I wanted to focus more on 1000 doves. Sine from above was gonna be really cool, I was gonna do king drag and queen drag and layer BOTH verses over each other and sing them to each other visually (think Manifesto of Mayhem) [lowkey wow I predicted that **** lol]

But no, they discontinued igtv shortly after I uploaded the second video and now I can't upload videos of that length to my iG

The arrangement i made unironically ****ED but like I just couldn't land on a visual element that felt unique (keep in mind, myself and my husband were the ONLY ONES working on these)

Each act has a VERY strong sense of identity. I wanted a nature theme for part 3 but then I needed to be in the club at a ball for Babylon... IN A PANDEMIC!!! Anyways... just had to share

I hope yall take a look at them! The projections were MOSTLY rips from the Spotify visuals choreo references the original choreography by gaga, but like I also choreographed a LOT of it

Oh let me check later

idk, her jazz eras? :ororomunroe:

I'll always defending it for her sake, it's her happy place. But I'll also social distancing from it cos I rarely listen to it.
