It’s fairly likely now that the CEO is a right wing person there’ll be more movies with a right wing edge too to make up the difference. Because currently Paramount releases about 10-15 movies a year BUT almost half of those are streaming movies not theatrical ones.

I think something like this was inevitable. California’s film industry has been shrinking for years because of more favorable markets in Vancouver, Toronto, London, and Atlanta. This was not a call their bluff situation. Paramount would have certainly left California. Any governor would have stepped in to keep Paramount from leaving on their watch. I expect the next governor will do all sorts of ass kissing and hand out tons of incentives to keep the industry from getting too upset.
