I really don’t know why everyone cares so much to take time out their day to type long paragraphs about stupid sh!t like this. Let her go be stupid in her own little corner. Ive had it up to my ears with celebrities and rich people making stupid statements and then trying to explain themselves and apologize lol. also. It’s not a hard concept to grasp that you can love Jewish people and not agree with the government there. We all know how governments work and know that not every Individual that’s living in a country is responsible for every ridiculous thing their government does. Anyone taking negative statements about government as antisemitism is foolish.

I think what she was trying to say and I feel like is lost on everybody in this thread is that amidst the current anti israel sentiment in the world is the (potential?) beginning of a hatred or bigotry in SOME people and she is afraid of that and maybe misidentified that in what he did. And honestly I get that, as a brown Muslim guy in the UK I've been watching the slow and steady wave of anti asylum seeker sentiment rise here and knew instantly however justified the very real issue might be that it will inevitably create fertile breeding ground for racists to come out of the woodwork and feel emboldened. So I can't fault her for feeling like that, I mean like I'm not an asylum seeker, I'm a British citizen, I've been here since 4 months old and my dad was British but I still fear any misplaced anger from that issue spilling over and affecting me. So I kind of relate to what I THINK she's saying. And I get disappointed when friends think I'm being dramatic by having that fear. Honestly this post is the first I heard of the drama and after reading her words I clearly came away with a much different feeling from the rest of you. I dont even know what she said in the first place so maybe I'll eat my words, either way I'm sure she's a cool person and all of you are cool people so like calm down and focus on the real bad guys.

Ngl everyone on this thread acting like they're doing anything of real value to stopping the genocide. While other wars on the planet right now have been raging and get paid dust. Its hard to not see the justification of calling out SJW types for empty virtue signalling and dare I say the mob mentality of 'you must say this exact thing otherwise we cast you out'. If you don’t explicitly say “I believe Israel committing a genocide is wrong” then yeah you deserve to be cast out and shunned from society. 

Genocide supporters are garbage and there is no room for them in a society that wishes to advance.

Actually I think as hard as it may be for you to realise, you are the one that probably needs casting out based on that comment. She has no obligation as a human on this planet to do anything she doesn't want to do. You cannot expect anyone to, and you need to learn to have respect in really difficult situations like this because she is not supporting anything by not doing what you say, that's her human right and I think anyone who understands that can see how unhinged you sound. 

Most people don't support genocide, we are practically all bystanders in this so there is no high horse for you to get on by saying the bare minimum and quite frankly using an atrocity as a stock phrase for some sort of social vibe check you can use to make yourself look better

That's true, I probably shouldn't cast judgement like that but it's disheartening, like truly, I feel like this is not the way, we've almost become a caricature of the cancel culture mob we have been painted as these past few years and I feel really stupid when I spent all that time defending it just to see it actually become true. Anyway, I'm crashing out in life right now so I probably project several frustrations onto this argument that may not be necessary.
