Gaga Should Randomly Drop Zombieboy as a Halloween Single

I actually think it would work. What if she randomly just posted ZOMBIEBOY. OCTOBER.

What would happen?

 

She literally could just post a lyric video or a TikTok edit with a new dance in her living room. That's it. I think it would blow up over the next few weeks. 

 

Honestly why not? Its a great fun Halloween single. If it didn't do well no one would care. And it wouldn't be alot of work for her. 

Why doesn't her team do more like this? Swift and Beyonce's team are doing it all the time.

Every Halloween she could be like "for one month Mayhem raises from the dead before it goes back to rest".......

If Mariah can bring the ghost of All I Want For Christmas back EVERY YEAR, Gaga can have her zombie era once a year....

 

I want Gaga to eventually be dubbed the Queen of Halloween. 

 

Whenever I go to a Halloween party, I always hear Bloody Mary, Monster, and sometimes Teeth, DITD. I also expect to continue to hear Abracadabra and maybe The Dead Dance. I think Zombieboy deserves to be part of that. It's such a fun halloween bop!

It would not work, Halloween effect is not nearly as massive as Christmas effect. It'd be a waste of money and time. The song is already old. And the prospect of Gaga becoming a Haloween act... we don't need her to become like Mariah and be relevant only for one season and forever be associated with it. The Mayhem era is over. Let's just move on.

It would be a cute moment (if she did it with minimal effort, like you say, in a one-off tiktok vid)

But... also... I feel like that would undercut the "finality" of REQUIEM (something I have literally never cared about until right now for some reason ?? lol)

I feel like it would be a shame to link LG to one specific holiday, the way Mariah has become bound to xmas (even if it is very profitable/good for longevity).

I literally suggested a dance in her living room or a lyric video. That's almost free or would be a few thousand to pay a good graphic designer.

Thriller peaked at number 10 last year, before that it peaked at 19 in 2021 and spend the next years in the 20s... what's your point?

the halloween effect is absolutely nowhere near as massive, since the charts are dominated by christmas songs from top to bottom for a month or more

even the Monster Mash only repeaked at 37 in 2021

if the two most popular halloween songs can barely crack the top 10 then it's just a waste of money for her and her team

People keep using this argument over and over again. Halloween DOES boost classics for a period of time

 

But it needs to be a classic known song in the first place. Its power to randomly boost random songs is quite limited unless it goes viral. 

 

And even classical songs that get a boost during halloween, only the biggest get a really high boost all month (like thriller). Most get a noticeable boost for like 2 days

 

Its not as big of an across the board song booster as some making it out to be. Using thriller as a bench mark is going to give you an extremely unrealistic expectation on what halloween will actually do for most songs
