Would you say Mariah has Boyz II Men to thank for her long standing Hot 100 record? No, because they both were at the pinnacle of popularity in the mid 1990s and that's why the song was such a hit, on top of it being very accessible and general-public-friendly On that note, being GP friendly is *precisely* why DWAS is one of the biggest songs of all time. It has enough adult contemporary, country, and pop for everyone. It's about a safe topic with no explicit lyrics, and can be performed and/or played in a wide variety of settings. Stop with the sexism

Cherry Blues 526
Lady Gaga can be an real inspiration. She is an icon and this song is so beautiful. I never thought that the song would be so big, but it's a world hit, from America to Asia, so romantic. I hope LG will make some big spiritual songs for LG8. Meanwhile, Gaga was always hovering around the 30s and 40s until she finished writing one of Bruno's demos. Now she stays in the 15-5 range. Facts don't have to hurt Streaming force or not, Gaga makes incredible music. The fact that it takes collaborating with one of the biggest streaming forces for her to finally top the charts is really more of an indictment on the charts and the GP's taste than it is on Gaga's ability. The fact that Abracadabra didn't out stream DWAS two fold or more? That's not Gaga's fault that's the common man being deaf and tasteless Happy to see Billie up there with her though 2 hours ago, loveandpeace said: I love Gaga but Billie did it without any help... just saying I mean, if we're being real Billie's brother is easily 50% of her success story and she'd probably be willing to admit that Ain't no shame in working together to achieve great things. Facts don't have to hurt Now in comparison, how have other collaborators of Bruno Mars such as Rose, Cardi B, Mark Ronson, Sexy Red, Anderson Paak, and Karol G performed in relation to Gaga. Also how has Bruno’s latest tracks(I just might-580 million and Risk it all- 600 million) performed in comparison to DWAS? Is it possible they both mutually benefited and contributed to the songs success due to the quality of the song and star power of the both of them? Surely they both wouldn’t have other songs than DWAS above 3 billion streams if that wasn’t the case. 3

Surely they both wouldn’t have other songs than DWAS above 3 billion streams if that wasn’t the case. Correct me if I'm wrong but is Shallow not Gaga's only other song with 3 billion streams? And Bruno has several, most of which are solo? Currently, Bruno's at #1 with 132m monthly listeners and Gaga's at #6 with 99m. Gaga clearly benefitted more? But no, DWAS wouldn't have been nearly as huge if it was solo for either of them. The GP loves Bruno's cheesy (cliche, imo) music and they love Gaga on songs like Shallow, ARUTW, Million Reasons, and DWAS and remember her for others like Bad Romance and Poker Face. Nobody really knows who those other artists are I never said Gaga was a flop or gave Bruno credit for her success, she was already clocking 30-40 out of Spotify's ~13 million artists which is crazy when you think about it. Her name recognition is monsterous and she already has a catalogue of hits stretching back 20 years. Of course she's going to outperform people who might have one or two moderate hits, with or without Bruno. A king maker, he is not. But he does lend some streaming potential to an already popular artist when they make a song that meshes with their respective wheelhouses.
