Outstreaming MAYHEM without DWAS, however

RO came out in May 2024

Mayhem March 2025

Mayhem will get there even without DWAS

The flop album did that, followed by the flop tour that played two sold out nights at Wembley and over a dozen more stadium shows, including a flopping three in Mexico City along several arena shows like a flopped four nights at The Forum and MSG. Also a flopped second single doing millions of streams two years after release...

If this is what flopping looks like, I wish for her to continue this path...

Seriously, do some people even know what a flop is?

Because it is the lead of the era.

dwas had it’s own mini era but still part of the album, treat it like a bonus track without the ‘bonus track’ label.

for example, Janet’s Doesn’t Really Matter was released as the Nutty Professor 2 song, and the All For You was the lead of the album, but still DRM was part of the album but was never treated as the lead.

and just like Die Another Day single and the American Life album

okay, that’s a great example

so are we 100% sure that if DWAS were not a smash hit - it would’ve made it to the album anyway?

is this bigger than Mayhem? (if we exclude DWAS)

Tragic for mayhem.

especially since mayhem originally was not going to have DWAS

What's the point of excluding the biggest single of the album without adding another song/single to replace it..? :bear:

Mayhem would have GOE or another proper single, and another track to replace DWAS if it didn't exist. :koons:

why is gaga the only artist where the goal posts of success are changed just for her to fail?

it's so irritating to see mayhem discussed "without DWAS" like it matters or changes anything

mother, what must i do?

the vinyls were pressed  with DWAS before DWAS was released :Cautious:

Ok and Gaga and Bruno both said the song is for neither of their albums. Then Gaga later said she added DWAS to the end because she realized it was the missing piece to the album :Cautious:

Pronounced like “Balenciaga” . Emphasis on the “Ga”

I understand without understanding

I mean, a lead single is a lead single, regardless of its significance to the album.

But from what I understand, basically DWAS to MAYHEM is what Yoü And I was to Born This Way.

More accurately you can say DWAS to MAYHEM is what Telephone was to The Fame Monster and Sine From Above was to Chromatica. These songs were initially meant for other artists, but then Gaga worked on them to fit them her albums similarly how Bruno approached Gaga to work for DWAS, leading Gaga to include that for MAYHEM.

Yeah she realised DWAS was the missing piece of MAYHEM even before DWAS was released as a single. Just like Sine From Above or Telephone.

she said that it's a "standalone" single, but didn't mention the album, Bruno was clear that it's not for his album.

The marketing was weird because they didn't want to leak details about Mayhem.. but the decision to include it in Mayhem was taken before the release of DWAS..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
