You don't think Trump's death would mobilize enough fence sitters and depressed Republicans to show up in the midterm?

I think they would as some kind of f*ckass memorial thing where they'd "honor the fallen president" by voting for his party.

Even if 5% of voters are swayed by that it could cost us the tightest margined seats  

I also think Republicans would QUICKLY move to make Trump more of a mythical figure now that they could basically control his image and perception among the gettable voters. I actually believe they will try to do that when he does die

JD Vance has claimed that the antichrist may be "walking among us", and said the world may be living through the "end times".

The US vice-president made the comments during a podcast interview with Bryce Crawford, 22, an evangelical Christian with more than a million YouTube followers.

While promoting his new book Communion: Finding My Way Back to Faith, Mr Vance said he was "trying to focus on doing as much of God's work as possible".

The vice-president's latest podcast appearance is not the first time he has invoked anti-Christian or satanic forces in public comments. In March, he told another conservative podcast that UFOs were "demons", rather than extraterrestrial life.

Mr Vance has repeatedly said Peter Thiel, a tech billionaire, pushed him to rethink his faith and consider a life in politics. Mr Thiel went on to become one of the biggest financial backers of both Mr Vance's and Donald Trump's campaigns.

Last year, Mr Thiel delivered four lectures in San Francisco in which he warned that Armageddon was drawing near and mused on who the antichrist might be.

Some on the Right who broke with Mr Trump after he shared an AI-generated image depicting him as a Jesus-like figure, have suggested the US president himself is the antichrist.

They don't turn out when he's alive if he isnt on the ticket. 

If he died of natural causes, they'll just fracture and turn on each other because its a cult of personality. Hell a lot of em wouldn't vote because they hate *every* politician except him, even his chosen ones. Like they're out here shooting Charlie Kirk for not being right wing enough. 

Because they failed to establish a dictatorship, when the figurehead of the personality cult dies - the standard protocol for how they get adapted doesn't play out the same. 

And there will be a thousand rats trying to claim the inheritance of the MAGA movement. Both of his older sons will run and tear seven strips out of each other, a hundred of his endorsed politicians will try it etc. 

And you can bet a sizeable minority of the MAGA movement will accuse JD Vance & the GOP of killing him and seek vengence against them.
