SS77 2,147
Underrated: Paradise so underrated that I often see it left out of the discussion entirely when people talk about her album discography If The Fame Monster, technically an EP, can be treated as its own album with its own era, tour, and visual & sonic identity. Then the same can be done for Paradise. It’s ironic, because as the era was occurring in 2012-2013, it was treated at its own thing. But over time it’s kind of become retrospectively combined with the Born To Die era. Insane because the albums couldn’t be more different. Is it even considered to be a separate album?

Well yes! It was released as its own standalone album/EP, just like The Fame Monster was but to capitalize off the success of the first, it was also released as a double album combined with the first, just like The Fame Monster was And just like TFM, Paradise had a very different production, lower more raw vocal techniques, different production choices, and she was also styled differently, moving on from clothing choices of BTD, and her already iconic red hair, to black Ride and Gods & Monsters alone, sound like nothing off Born To Die Edited Thursday at 05:58 PM by SS77
StrawberryBlond 15,643 Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Share Posted yesterday at 03:02 AM Overrated - Norman F**king Rockwell! Underrated - Chemtrails Over The Country Club None of her work is overrated really, but I just wonder why NFR is her best received album ultimately. And poor Chemtrails just sorta came and went with people only truly remembering the lead single.
