Doing so limits the awareness of what humans are actually capable of, for better or for worse some people have no nuance in their lives and it is concerning. like if someone works at walmart, amazon, banks, etc are they supposed to turn down promotions in solidarity? it is a very childish way of thinking Probably on Grindr 1

Hell, most people I know who work in the corporate world did so because it was one of the only places around hiring, and then they stayed there for the security of being able to provide for their families. They didn't have lives where they could realistically go take risks for their passions; they just wanted something stable. Just because people participate in society it doesn't mean they don't want to better it. An all-or-nothing way of thinking isn't very beneficial.

Ppl never bother to learn or confirm basic facts before going off. As much as this is a big problem among conservatives, some liberals or progressives do it too. Its very much a non-partisan issue Anyway, even if the role was what they thought it was, celebrating the death would still be a bit much. We cant keep projecting general societal problems on specific individuals we know little about because we associate them with the general group of people they belong to and reach the conclusion that individual deserves the highest punishment that even some murderers and rapists dont get.

I agree. I can't get on board with that bloodthirsty mentality. Even if the other side seems to value certain lives more than others, I can't morally stoop down to that level to cheer on plain old murder. It's so animalistic and not the society I want to live in.

I confess I haven't followed the story since OP the other day, so idk if there is video of it, I'm sorry but my understanding is that it was NOT a targeted attack against this specific bank employee (not a Luigi situation, just a mental health crisis with deadly consequences for more than one person)

TaylorSwift 163,464
Erin Piacenti, 32, was returning to work for the first time since giving birth to her 5-month-old daughter Madison on Aug. 31 when she was fatally stabbed by Pamela Cisneros, 49, as she headed home from her job at Bank of America (BoA). Erin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where she studied political science and sang in an a cappella group. She started her career as a buyer at Bloomingdale's. Erin later graduated from Fordham University School of Law magna cum laude, worked at Davis Polk for several years, and became a vice president at Bank of America. Still tho, finding loopholes in a system to navigate regulations in a way you can still accomplish what you want legally is more the kind of thing id look down on and lowkey judge not cheer for you to get stabbed to death. Certainly very disproportionate KARMA imo for anyone that thinks this is what she derserved based on the info we currently have

But the biggest culprits are interest groups and lobbiests that fight to resist legislation to help the issue, and the politicians who do nothing about it for political reasons I may not like that the system as a whole allows someone in the top 0.1% to have more wealth than anyone should have. But that doesnt mean i automatically hate every wealthy individual as a person. The vast, vast majority of people will take oppurtunities if they come and if their circumstances allow them to take it. Its also not human nature to give most of what you gain away. Some people are that selfless and if thats you congratulations your more enlightened than most but realistically most people are not that way and most middle class or poor people wouldnt be either if the tables turned and their circumstances changes. Thats why laws and regulations need to exist to force us to be a more equitable society because out of the goodness of our hearts, most people wont keep just enough earnings to live off of and give away the rest. But rich individuals on their own are not always necessairily autonatically Jeff Bezos and Elon Musks when it comes to level of evil
