no it's true and it happened in a relatively more religious part of the country. we're not extremely religious btw - like 1/10th of the entire population supports the implementation of sharia law, which is rare for a muslim majority society

How did they gain control of a mosque anyway? Bet everyone nearby thought someone had put something in their drinks! Reminds me of when a church bellringer played them to the tune of Bad Romance in a small English town. Dread to think what the punishment could be, though...

Normally the speaker is connected to a computer used by the clerics, so I'm guessing one of them just had the song on their playlist 

In my old neighborhood, the call to prayer would be preceded by the LOUDEST windows xp startup sound (in 2025, btw) which I found to be quite camp 

they never played gaga once tho
