AsleepOnTheCeiling 6,987
Just gonna leave this here. I work for the company, not in a store. It's not the perfect employer or the perfect brand. It frequently baffles me how some decisions are made and the employees could overall be treated better. But I've been with them for several years and I can confidently say that the entire hate train for the company is overblown and probably an effort by Walmart or Amazon or whoever to take out competition. It's the only place I've ever felt it was okay to be gay. Because I've seen people walked off the premises the moment they make a homophobic comment. Including people calling others f@gs. There is no "well it's he said/she said". I've also seen the most diverse groups of people onboarded. Before, during, and after the DEI scandal. Half of my team is made up of PoC, with several LGBT team members, and close to half of them are women. Boycotting these companies does nothing but hurt those team members. Target is a lot of things and I'll gladly watch them get called out for it. But homophobic or racist aren't part of it.
