Omegahedron 388
Hardly a fair comparison to a half finished demo ... but Brooklyn. Probably I would have said that even if Earthquake was finished. Although I love them both. Was so happy hearing the refrain in FOHL
imogen2133 771
I like both a lot but probably Earthquake. I adore her vocals on that song (and really everything she made in 2010/11) they are so beautiful and pleasant to listen to. The lyrics are sad but really well done as well and I know a lot of people prefer Earthquake to FOHL but I love both equally and FOHL is one of my all time fav Gaga songs so having "another version" is great for me. I hope the whole song leaks one day.
Junko Enoshima 4,899
I love Earthquake, beautiful song. But the Brooklyn Nights bridge clears it. Love both of them My boobs are hopelessly huge 1

Gabe 2,635
I'll say Brooklyn Nights, but if Earthquake leaked as a fully finished song I think it would obliterate it. 8 hours ago, bpmMonkey said: Gypsy Top 10 songs of Gaga in general. MountainMonster 3,017
BN. Easily. Earthquake got left on the cutting room floor where she belonged. and the Gypsy slander here… it’s easily better than 80% of the other songs on ARTPOP.

From the second the song starts I just start cryingggg like it’s so beautiful, but sad, but beautiful it just perfectly captures that feeling of looking back at a failed relationship but still remembering some beautiful moments, so u kinda grieve it but u also know it was doomed, and u are at peace with it..: bittersweet this is what I miss in some of her recent works: that raw honesty Tbf she started ditching it as early as ARTPOP given how much gypsy was changed from its demo. Hell, sexxx dreams too with its bridge change. I agree I miss its feel but I think she hasn’t really delved into that pool in a veeeeeery long time. Arguably Dope is the last time imo as Joanne is an album that wasnt a vehicle for much of her catharsis as it was a conscious effort to reach her dad and as a result, some of *her vulnerability and rawness was lost in my opinion. OT: obvi Brooklyn nights as it’s much more complete. Earthquake has some great ideas and classic, great melodies but it’s very obvious it was never going to make it out of the demo sessions given its current state and relative generic-ness (not a dig on it, it’s just a very pop song without too much an angle or distinct edge) Edited August 29 by Ziggy
