That's his duty. Even if he knows that she was a Democrat, she was a symbol for this whole country. The artist was transcendant regardless of anyone's opinions.

I understand the sentiment of what you guys are saying, but let's be clear that Trump deserves not an ounce of good credit or appreciation for anything. Offering a tribute to a legendary figure that he could never even dream of being - due to the total lack of empathy in his heart -  is the bare minimum that any president would have done. 

Trump deserves no praise or kudos for doing something that's not sadistic
