I looked at it from a stance where if the mum would be mad at swearing in songs, I feel like a song like Government Hooker would meet the same objections because while it's not explicit and does dance around things rather than just screaming "**** me" it's still on the same level of "inappropriateness" as a 12 year old saying ****/****/piss etc And the song also does end with the poorly censored “I wanna f*ck, government hooker. Stop sh*ttin’ me, government hooker.” We have forgotten our public MANNERS

Zomg … valid! At the same time, in reading it now with the whole dialectic / devil‘s advocate approach in mind, a whole new level of cultural poetry surfaced … it literally reads like a southern high school party with frat brothers / sorority sisters who were in town for like Fall Break or something … just literally whiskey kisses amidst southern blondes … much more of a cultural lens than anatomical … but again, just riffing nonsense! 5 minutes ago, Bronco said: All of this is valid and well put, and not the direction of thought I was going. Or not at all … I never know these things, I just riff stream of consciousness Again, none of this might be of any sensible relevance!

gagacabana 7,764
For context, I work with kids and got this ready for whenever I can doctrinate them needless to say how language is a brick wall of understanding because we're brazilians, which means the lyrics are completely dismissed so, for OP's niece, the mixtape must be curated again I don't believe in the glorification of murder, I do believe in the empowerment of women 3

In my childhood (I’m a millennial) we often missed hidden meanings in songs. But life experience and access to information are bringing this innocence to an end earlier end earlier. Scissors Sisters was a band that flew under my radar, I think I only know that one famous song “don’t feel like dancing, dancing…”. Anyway, since I never paid much attention, you’ve made me realize now the meaning of their name (millennial and a bit slow)
