They repeatedly attempt to corrupt society for their own benefit and inevitably reach the point where the oppressed turn to the only method they feel they have left which is violence against the oppressor. I'm never going to condemn the abused dog finally fighting back against its master with what ever method it has available to it. This issue of healthcare costs in the US is not new. And the debate around premiums and coverage stretches back to the 1960s and introduction of Medicaid & Medicare. We act like "oh peace is the solution" but the peaceful route is what's been tried longer than likely anyone on this site has been alive and things are continuing to get worse and there is still not universal healthcare after 60 years. The ACA was gutted within seconds via Sebelius which killed off the expansion of Medicaid and this has worsened regional inequality in coverage and healthcare. Cost-sharing increased by 77% in the ten years following it. 30% of providers deny Medicaid patients. Medicaid patients report longer wait times & lower quality care. The individual mandate penalty was set to 0 in 2017 and by next year is expected to cause a 13 million drop in people with health insurance. At some point - what option is left? Every peaceful reform in the 70s was blocked by Health Insurance companies bribing politiicans, the 1993 Clinton attempt to reform was blocked by the Republicans fearing it would destroy them electorally and the ACA under Obama has been consistently gutted of all purpose since its implementation by the bought & paid for politicians representing the insurance companies. How is the average working class citizen who's a single paycheck away from homelessness supposed to fight a multi-billion pound industry on a $ for $ basis in political contests? I'm not sure we're quite at the point where violence is the only option left. But we'll hit that point on the current trajectory before we get LG8. I appreciate you taking the time to answer. We may not agree on every aspect of this, but I still appreciate you 🤝 1

I'm not sure we're quite at the point where violence is the only option left. But we'll hit that point on the current trajectory before we get LG8. In the modern civil rights movement we had Martin Luther King Jr. who prayed for peace and equality, spoke against centrism, and led marches on Washington and state capitols to show how unified the people really were in the fight for racial justice. We also had Malcom X who never directly called for violence but he DID champion the right to "self defense" saying "if the government isn't going to protect black Americans, black Americans must protect themselves", be it from the KKK, a hateful neighbor, the police, or government representatives gone bad. He rejected passivity and the notion that black Americans had to remain peaceful in the face of violence. And his speeches echoed President Kennedy's sentiments, "ballot or the bullet". When peaceful options are no longer on the table, violence becomes inevitable. What is the sociopathic greed of millionaires and billionaires that causes the mass death of poor and middle class Americans if not violence? Over 50,000 Americans die every year because they lack access to healthcare which is roughly the same number of people who die due to gun violence. Why should anybody expect pacifism in the face of that violence when we've been trying to fight that destructive, neigh-genocidal greed "the right way" for decades with politicians who STILL refuse to do the work we're begging them to do because their palms are getting greased by the same hands stained with our blood? 90% of Democratic voters and, depending on how you define "single payer healthcare", 20%-50% of Republican voters all support Medicare for All and yet we have, what? Four or five representatives in federal office even saying they support it? Both MLK Jr. and Malcom X were necessary, just like peaceful people still pulling the lever for progressive candidates that'll work towards M4A and people like Luigi who give "soft" reminders to the upper class that we have other options and we're not afraid to use them if all others get exhausted. Now ain't a time for pearl clutching, kids. Hell, from civil rights to workers' rights to our queer rights, you'd be hardpressed to find something we didn't have to fight and potentially kill for. PornoDanceFight 2,169
These CEOs and politicians could give two sh*ts if we lived or died, and some are actively banking on us dying, so why should I give a damn about some fat cat getting rightfully popped off when UHC lines its pockets with the outrageous premiums paid by people dying of cancer? Luigi is more of a (hot) figurehead/representation of a greater calling for political, cultural, and social change. I don't believe in the glorification of murder, but I do believe in the empowerment of the proletariat. 1

MLK was significantly easier to sanitize and defang. You can't gloss this over: It's time now for you and me to become more politically mature and realize what the ballot is for; what we're supposed to get when we cast a ballot; and that if we don't cast a ballot, it's going to end up in a situation where we're going to have to cast a bullet. I have no problems with fighting for a cause, and causing a loud disruption to get your frustrations and message heard, but murder takes things too far. I believe violence begets more violence, and if every group decides that murder is okay to get their points across, we’re screwed even worse than things seem now. It’s terroristic to have murder in your back pocket as an acceptable method of advancing your cause, I feel. I ain't gonna be the one doing the crimes, and I certainly hope people are smart enough to not make a martyr out of the wrong person (like a certain cheeto) but if you show me an article trying to portray a sociopathic mass murderer via greed as a family man? Honestly, I hope Cheeto dies in prison or at worst natural causes. Making him a matyr would be a mistake like you say. And if Operation Valkyrie's failure taught us anything, sometimes the better outcome is not letting the lesser evils clean their guilt by sacrificing a larger evil.
