This is both good (because people got good grades) and bad — because post-graduate jobs are at an all time low with the majority of Uni graduates not getting a job in a field they’re trained for.

If 30 is ripe then I'm a seed at 25

I’m older than you and I’m going to university too so we’re in the same boat sis.

One thing young people seem to forget about uni is that it’s not a free pass to a job we actually have to network whilst in university in the fields we want. Because who you know matters more nowadays.

and you know what, i'm really glad to be going at this age now because i'm going to be much more confident and better at networking than my awkward 19 year old self

my uni seems to offer a lot of placement and networking opportunities too

This is absolutely the case.

I'm 21, just going into my final year of my BA, but so much of my free time is taken up by conferences and events where you have to network and make connections. It ought to be taught in schools. If I didn't have good guidance when going into the field I'm currently going into, I would've had no idea.

I turned 30 a few days ago and already 2 gays called me "daddy" on grindr (absolutely never happened before) and my crush is now calling me his "big baby" because I'm in my 30's :neyde:  30 is truly the turning point when you're gay lmao

Yeah, people nowadays are too insular thanks to social media. Young people don’t seem to understand that you HAVE to be networking in every job to get somewhere.

Between proper money management and this, I’m shocked they don’t teach it at schools yet. Back when I was in school most of the things they taught is are no longer needed now. My life would’ve been so much better if we had a finance and work class.
