Gurl are you okay??????? The Fame was hard because I don’t really think any of the album tracks are as good as the songs that already have videos. Chromatica was then easy, because the best song, 911 already has a video. So being the 2nd best song on the album, Fun Tonight should naturally get a video instead of my least favorite current video, which is Rain on Me. (I think Stupid Love is cute). At least Alejandro was interesting I still find Bad Romance a pretty meh music video and did when it came out. Telephone’s video is literally the thing that carries TFM era and is probably the most known and constantly talked about part (hence Telephone Part 2) from that whole era. Its entire identity inspired the Monster Ball Tour. Bad Romance was successful yes, but this fanbase only started appreciating it after Billboard declared it the best song of the 2000s in 2014. The Monster Ball 1.0 was specifically inspired by the cancelled Fame Kills tour her and Kanye West were going to do. Interscope didnt want to fund a tour so close to the cancellation so she self funded the 1.0 leg. We have the leaked concept for the tour stage Kanye‘s side of the arena was meant to look like a Mayan temple and Gaga’s was meant to be Egyptian pyramids (hence the Egyptian inspiration to TMB 1.0 at parts). She wasn’t satisfied with it so once the first leg was over she wanted to revamp it and Interscope didnt want to fund it so she convinced LiveNation to pay for it and she worked for a year to pay off the debt to LiveNation for The Monster Ball 2.0 from January 2010 until January 2011 then the remaining dates after she finally started making money off the tour. The revamped tour started a few weeks before Telephone’s video came out and it had already been filmed. So creatively; the Warholian campy style of the tour was absolutely inspired by Telephone.
