Texas to open first detransition clinic for minors

HOUSTON — A legal settlement requiring Texas Children's Hospital to create what Attorney General Ken Paxton calls the country's first "detransition clinic" has been finalized, the attorney general's office announced Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the hospital must open the clinic by the end of October, pay $10 million to resolve state and federal Medicaid fraud claims and permanently revoke the privileges of multiple physicians. The agreement also requires the hospital to permanently revoke the medical staff privileges of multiple physicians and amend its bylaws so performing gender-transition procedures results in the automatic loss of medical staff privileges.

Paxton alleged the hospital improperly billed Texas Medicaid for gender-transition procedures using false diagnosis codes.

"This historic settlement is a resounding defeat for the radical gender ideology that has preyed on Texas children under the guise of 'care,'" Paxton said in a statement Wednesday. "This settlement sends an unmistakable message: if you put radical ideology over children's health, my office will go after you."

Everyone is so gender obsessed

why do we want to align with gender binary’s so bad? Can we just break the binary and be whoever we want to be 

who cares how child or adults want to present

i hate how sis straight ppl push gender on their children so much , hair clothes toys colors etc it’s so bizarre

why is gender so important 

I understand it’s a very touchy and complicated subject but these are genuine thoughts I have 

people shouldn’t have to transition in the first place because they should be allowed to be who they authentically are in the first place without any questions asked 

and if someone wants surgery to feel more confident in their own body, then that is their decision 

I love me some cosmetic surgery 

sorry I understand this is an extreme take, but yeah I feel like the gender binary is what makes people feel like an outcast because a lot of the time they are not one or the other , we are all a little bit of everything , we’re all a mix of masculine snd feminine and we gotta normalize being BOTH instead of trying to be only one in order to feel like you belong and fit in and are safe in this world

Because people hate anything that can prove everything they’ve been taught is in fact wrong.

People are so restricted by social norms that they devalue or hate anything that proves to go outside of those. That’s why they hate the LGBTQ+ community because we’re free from literally every patriarchal and restrictive norm they’ve been taught their whole lives.

Straight people live in a prison of their own making.

It’s why I’m an anarchist and an atheist because religion is the biggest contributor to all of this. It’s literally where the patriarchy comes from and where the historical hatred of queer people came from in modern society.

Even some queer people sadly are poisoned by the things straight people do and say, like the weird queer terfs for example.
