I think there's a lot of nostalgia in the air when you think about the past.

I feel like Lana and Taylor have stood still for their last 5 albums or so and it seems to not have been a death sentence for them so much.

but that being said, I am glad Gaga does evolve and try out new things. I just would like to see her be more daring and experimental. When she does try new things, the final product itself feels rather safe for the most part and doesn’t retain the classic GAGA soul

I'm not trying to be controversiaGa or anything. I even have a thread planned about how much I dislike “Bad Romance” ... too lazy for that right now. Honestly, I'm just tired of pretending I like The Fame Monster. Mayhem brings the light feeling of The Fame and the dramatic dark side of The Fame Monster - that's the Lady/Gaga soul. At the same time it sounds more mature, that is artistic evolution. 

Personally, I would hear from her such an RnB-inspired album as with the track The Cure from 2017, that would be a direction.

I think Gaga tried to do way too much, way too fast. She could’ve ridden The Fame/The Fame Monster momentum a lot longer, but instead she completely switched the sound, look and persona with Born This Way almost immediately.

People act like the backlash started with ARTPOP but tbh her oversaturation began in the BTW album , I don't think a lot of people liked a lot about BTW era, from the highly pro-LGBT messaging to the birth imagery. The backlash around Judas was huge, I also think she just changed her look too much. It was too much. Too ugly at times (the big black dot on her face)

It would be a new field for an album - also with more experimental tracks. Partynauseous was also urban-inspired by rap. An untapped opportunity. Urban meets Techno.

like I said, each of those last 3 albums has about 4 songs that I LOVE while the rest of the songs have had zero impact for me  

abracadabra was like the second coming of Jesus Christ for me! I love diamond heart, John Wayne, dancin and hey girl. Also love Alice 911 replay and engima, but the rest is too generic and basic lacking Gaga soul for me 

I can relate to this there are a few songs on Chromatica and Mayhem I can enjoy decently now and then but I haven't really enjoyed a full Gaga album start to finish since ARTPOP tbh.

Again you are right.  BTW was the beginning of the downfall as it did take things in a very extreme direction that the GP was not ready for. And then ARTPOP was just a messy era all in all but people already felt their ways about gaga before ARTPOP dropped

However, everything you describe was necessary for her to enter pop history as an artist pregnant with meaning. 

I liked this phase, it showed she has long-term plans. But the longer momentum would have prevented the depth of the path.
