Not as frustrating as you'd think. 

The IRGC has effectively removed the religious leaders from defacto power and totally defanged the wider political leadership. They've been able to implement far harsher controls on the civilian population at a time when the mercantile class was the biggest risk factor for the Iranian status-quo. And they've humiliated their biggest enemy & one of the world's 3 super powers by completely neutering the American offensive. 

Trump's given Iran over to its extremists & shown them and the world that Iran has a far more dangerous weapon on hand than any theorized nuclear capacity via their control of the Hormuz strait and the Iran-backed Houthi's ability to cause similar shut downs through the Red Sea, Bab-el-Mandeb strait and the Gulf of Aden which the Middle Eastern nations were using to circumvent the strait of Hormuz where possible. 

And whats worse for Trump, even if he could get a deal signed and sealed tomorrow - Iran caused enough damage to production facilities in the middle east that it will take years for production to return to pre-war levels. Which will absolutely prevent prices falling to pre-war levels.

Or in a way that reconciles what Iran wants and what Israel wants. If Iran sues for peace at this point, they’re going to push for guarantees for Palestine, which doesn’t fit with Israel’s plan to occupy and settle Gaza and the West Bank. They don’t even want to deoccupy Lebanon.

He’s already claimed he’s won the war multiple times and I think the delulu is running thin because his supporters are paying for it at the gas pump lmao. Dude thinks reality works like TV and I think Iran is one of the first times where the rubber of his narrative has met the road of reality in a way that he can’t convincingly BS his way out of.
