Adam Lambert is in the glam-rock category, which makes him get away with a lot. he's also a respected musician. Troye was never femme, his aestehtic for the last album was more edgy berlin-chav, that is quite the opposite of femme. Him doing drag was kind of a one thing. If Frankie would be looking like shawn mendes while wearing this outfit, everyone's saliva would be flowing, but because Frankie's face is femme, his attitude and dancing as well as his outfit - you are coming for him. For starters, drag is serving as a main visual for his upcoming era. But also on the tour last era he was wearing loose & lacy dressing gowns for an entire boudoir section and his early eras were aesthetically soft femme twink - especially the blue neighbourhood era. Backtracks are accepted by most people if there's a big choreo going. Lip syncing on the other hand always get dissed quite a lot. You get a pass ( kinda ) when you bother do it well, if possible with a good song. Here he's not really trying to hide it and the song sound seems like an AI-made tune.
